Welcome to Hold That Cow

5000 Ranch is nestled in the Ouachita Mountains, just south of I-40 near the Arkansas/Oklahoma state line. We have around 100 head of cross and purebred Angus cows but focus primarily on feeding stocker cattle and marketing them through Superior Livestock Auction. We have customers in four states that we also work with to market their cattle.

Our horse herd consists of cow and reining bred horses with focus on Doc Bar, Colonel Freckles and Peppy San Badger lines, including current industry sires Mister Dual Pep and Smart Chic Olena. Many of the horses in our herd today stem from a great line of performance and using horses that we’ve been around since the late 80's.

In 2011, we are very blessed to have added a little more "Cow" to our program with the purchase of Hold That Cow, an Equi-Stat Top Reining Sire with offspring earning almost $250,000 in reining and reined cowhorse competition. So, now we are REALLY in the "Cow Business!"
